Direct object pronouns (le, la, les)
To avoid repeating a noun, French replaces the direct object with a pronoun: le (m.), la (f.), l' (before a vowel), les (plural). The pronoun goes before the verb, not after.\n\n*Tu vois le film ? — Oui, je le vois.\n\nIn the passé composé the pronoun sits before the auxiliary, and the past participle then agrees with it: Je les ai vus*.
