Adjective agreement

French adjectives change form to match the noun they describe in gender and number.\n\nGeneral rule: add -e for feminine, -s for plural (and -es for feminine plural). petit → petite → petits → petites.\n\nAdjectives already ending in -e don't change for gender (rouge, rouge). Most adjectives come after the noun (une voiture rouge), but a few short common ones (beau, grand, petit, jeune, bon…) come before.
